Natasha and I have spent the last eleven months expanding our
knowledge of “Attraction Marketing” and learning how to build our
business on the internet. During this time one of the
interesting and unexpected outcomes of our attraction marketing
efforts has been all of the e-mails we have received from people who
are cross-line from us in our in our own business.
Along with the frequent e-mails we receive from people who want to
join our business, we also receive a lot of e-mails from people who
have become frustrated while trying to build their business
and have reached out to us hoping that we could help them
experience the success we have had. Natasha showed me an e-mail she
recently received and I thought it was worth sharing:
Hello Natasha,
My name is R. I would like to know how you would help me build my
business. My current sponsor is as much help as the dirt in
the yard.
Sincerly,
R
The reason I wanted to share this e-mail with you was twofold. First,
I want you think about the qualities and expertise that you bring to
the table as a sponsor for the people who join your business. Are
you constantly striving to learn more? If you don’t have a specific
plan for your personal growth your business will suffer. Second, I
want to point out the importance of seeking out the right sponsor
when you are considering a new opportunity.
The person who sent the message above was clearly frustrated with
the sponsor they chose. When you are considering a new business and
sponsor, make sure that you take some time to find out how your
potential sponsor builds their business. If you are interested in
learning how to build your business using the internet you probably
need to make sure your that sponsor knows the difference between
a blog and a forum. The same is true for someone who wishes to build
their business using face to face methods like talking to everyone
within a three foot radius at their local Starbucks and attending
weekly hotel meetings…either make sure your sponsor knows how to
build their business the way you want to build it or be ready to
spend considerable time teaching yourself.
